Junior Engineer

Location: Fort Meade, Maryland  

Security Clearance: Top Secret / SCI + Full Scope Poly

Position Title: Junior Engineer (BASH/SW Deployments)

Position Requirements:

This position requires providing support for deployments as well as performing BASH scripting. The candidate should be self-motivated, enjoy working directly with the customer and with the end-users.

Position Responsibilities:  

Basic Qualifications:

•A minimum of 1 year of experience as an engineer (NOTE: A BS in Engineering, Math, or related technical field may be substituted for this requirement). 
•Within the last year, 1 year of experience in any one of the following (NOTE: A BS in Engineering, Math, or related technical field may be substituted for this requirement): 
•Signal Analysis 
•Modern Tele-communications System and Engineer Networks 
•Telephony Switching Systems 
•Communication Systems 
•Cellular/Personal Communications Systems 
•TDM/PCM Multiplexing / Modulation /Switching Systems 
•Packet Switching Systems 
•Systems Engineer 
•Operating Systems 
•Advanced Protocols 
•Need someone with strong deployment interest and experience. 75% of the position will be supporting health and status deployments to a large number of servers.  This will also involve tweaking configuration thresholds and troubleshooting any issues that occur with the deployment. 
•Experience needed with BASH and Perl. 25% of the position will be writing software and scripts to help support the health & monitoring system. 
•Strong Redhat LINUX engineer experience

Preferred Qualifications:

•Experience with Python 
•Experience with Software Version Control (i.e. CVS) 
•Experience with ANT scripts for builds 
•Experience interfacing to Oracle or other RDBMS
